Government will change the recruitment rules of ESB and PSC: Draft ready for both the agencies, suggestions will be taken till June 5

The state government is going to change the recruitment rules of two agencies recruiting for government jobs in the state. For this, the General Administration Department has prepared a draft of changes in the recruitment rules of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission and Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board and has sought suggestions from the people of the state regarding this from June 5. According to the proposed rules, now all government recruitments except Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will be done through the Staff Selection Board (ESB). The new rules will come into effect from October 1, 2026, and will replace the old rules of 2013. The government has sought suggestions and objections from the general public till June 5, 2026. Recruitment will be based on eligibility test and score card. In the draft prepared for the change in rules, it has been said that now the recruitment process will be based on “eligibility test” and “score card system”. ESB will conduct three types of eligibility tests every year which will be General Eligibility Test, Technical Eligibility Test and Teacher Eligibility Test. Only those candidates who obtain the minimum marks prescribed in the eligibility test will be issued a score card, which can be used to apply for various government jobs. The score card of General and Technical Eligibility Test will be valid till 31st December of the next two years after the year of declaration of result. Candidates who pass the Teacher Eligibility Test will be considered eligible for life, but their score card for job application will also be valid for a limited period only. Applying for multiple recruitments with one score: Under the new system, candidates will not have to appear for preliminary examinations again and again. Once a good score is obtained, one can apply for recruitment in many departments on the basis of the same score card. The entire process will be online, which is claimed to make the recruitment process more transparent and simple. The exam pattern will be like this: There will be 100 questions in the Common Eligibility Test, which will be divided into four parts. In this, questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Madhya Pradesh General Knowledge and Schemes, Mathematics, Logical Ability, Data Analysis and Computer Knowledge. There will also be 100 questions in the Technical Eligibility Test, out of which 25 questions will be from general subjects and 75 questions will be from related technical subjects. PSC exam rules ready, suggestions sought before implementation. On the other hand, the state government has prepared new draft rules to conduct the recruitment examinations of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission and before implementing them, suggestions have been sought till June 5, 2026.
