NEET exam was held again on Sunday, 21st June. During this time, a big solver gang was exposed in Bihar. A student was caught in undergarments with a mobile phone in the exam hall.
The passion of the candidates regarding NEET is to such an extent that a student, despite breaking nine of her ribs, took the exam in a special room after making all the arrangements.
Came to the exam in undergarments with a mobile phone.
On June 21, a student who had come to take the examination at an examination center in Bindayaka area of Jaipur was caught with a mobile phone. It is alleged that the student had entered the examination center by hiding her mobile in her undergarments. He also took a photo of the question paper about 15 minutes before the end of the exam. During the examination, the student was trying to find answers to the questions from her mobile.
During the investigation from the entry gate of the student’s school to the exam hall, the metal detector had given alert twice. But he misled by saying that the alert was coming because of the hook of the undergarments. The student was appearing for NEET exam for the third time. If a case is registered against this student under The Public Examination Act 2024 and she is found guilty, then there is a provision of 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh.
Srishti came to give exam even after breaking nine ribs.
Kolkata student Srishti Dubey’s name is in discussion amid the NEET UG 2026 re-exam conducted across the country. Despite being badly injured in a serious road accident and undergoing major surgery, Srishti did not give up. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan provided special facilities for Srishti and Srishti took the exam with separate rooms, medical aid and ambulance facilities.
Despite going through serious health problems, Srishti told her father that she wanted to appear for NEET exam at any cost. Seeing this resolution of the daughter, her father Shishram Dubey wrote a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan asking for help. He requested that Srishti be allowed to take the exam with medical equipment and necessary health facilities. Following his advice, special arrangements were made for Srishti in the ground floor of the exam centre.
22 lakh students gave the exam
According to NTA, this time around 22 lakh candidates took the NEET exam. According to NTA, arrangements for surveillance through CCTV cameras were made in more than 95,000 examination centres. Officials said that strict security arrangements have been made. 1,38,560 CCTV cameras and 51,311 jammers have been installed at the examination centres.

Medical students arrested while giving exam
Instead of real candidates, medical students were arrested while giving NEET exam. This deal was fixed for Rs 30-40 lakh. Police have arrested 24 people including the gang leader and medical students of PMCH Gayaji Medical College, AIIMS Rae Bareli, BHU in this case.
Among them were 14 employees of the biometric company that took fingerprints of students during the exam. Mobile phones and other documents have been recovered from these accused.
According to police sources, the story started with a suspicious person, who was present at the examination center posing as an employee of a biometric company. When his activities became suspicious, investigation began.
He was identified as Mayank Kashyap, a third year MBBS student of Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH). The investigating agencies got their first major success from here. On the basis of clues found during interrogation, the police raided many other examination centers and within no time the entire network was exposed. Arpit Raj, a medical student of Gaya-based ANMMCH, is being considered by the investigating agencies as the main face of this network. Arpit Raj’s name has come up in discussions before also. Last year, during the investigation of NEET paper leak case, central agencies had interrogated him. Now, with his name surfacing once again, the investigating agencies are also examining the records of old cases.
Medical colleges’ efforts also failed
According to sources, during the NEET exam, many medical colleges had advised their students not to go out of the campus. In some institutions, seminars, educational activities and quiz programs were even organized to keep the students engaged. Despite this, some students dropped out of the college. Investigation revealed that an accused student left the college on the pretext of illness and was later caught in Lakhisarai.
Before the exam, the National Medical Commission had issued an advisory to prevent cheating and avoid paper leaks. It has been said that MBBS and other medical students should not be given holidays on June 20 and 21. However, if a student takes leave due to emergency, he can be given leave. But in this case also, students will be given leave only if there is a valid reason.
Exam was canceled after paper leak
NEET UG 2026 was conducted on May 3 before the NEET re-exam on June 21, but after the paper leak came to light, NEET UG 2026 was canceled by the central government.
