Rajasthan PTI Recruitment Cancelled. Exam Postponed to 2027

Candidates preparing to become PTI (Physical Education Teacher) in government schools in Rajasthan have got a big shock. Actually PTI recruitment exam was to be held in September 2026. But now it has been canceled due to issues related to recruitment rules. This exam is likely to be conducted in April 2027.

Possibility of exam in the year 2027

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has clarified that PTI recruitment exam will no longer be conducted on 13th September 2026. According to the board, clarifications are yet to be taken on some issues related to recruitment rules, due to which there is a delay in taking the recruitment process forward. In such a situation, the examination is now likely to be conducted in the year 2027.

Candidates’ concerns increased

The delay in the recruitment process has increased the concerns of the candidates regarding age limit, preparation period and employment opportunities. Candidates have been waiting for the recruitment for last many years. But disappointment is increasing due to repeated postponement of exams and now their cancellation this year.

RSSB President Alok Raj gave information

RSSB President Alok Raj, while sharing the information on social media platform X, said that the PTI recruitment advertisement will be released only after getting necessary clarity related to the rules.

Given the current situation, it is not possible to conduct the examination in 2026. The board will now try to conduct the examination in April 2027. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is preparing for recruitment on about 900 PTI posts in the state.

Eligibility for recruitment:

For PTI recruitment, the candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board. Apart from this, B.P.Ed., D.P.Ed. in Physical Education. or C.P.Ed. Must also have a degree.

Age Limit :

The minimum age for this recruitment is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. Age will be calculated as on January 1, 2027. Whereas OBC, SC, ST, EWS and women candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules.

Special things related to PTI recruitment:

  • The main work of PTI is to conduct sports, physical education and fitness activities in schools.
  • DPEd./CPEd. with 12th for PTI recruitment in most of the states. Or Graduation with BPEd. Such qualifications are required.
  • The selection process includes written exam, document verification and merit.
  • In many states, the condition of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) may also be applicable for PTI recruitment.
  • Fake BPEd in PTI Recruitment-2022 of Rajasthan. Allegations of use of degrees and dummy candidates came to light, after which investigation was started and action was taken on many appointments.
  • After investigation found irregularities in the documents of hundreds of candidates, the appointments of many selected candidates were stopped.
  • Arrests have also been made in Rajasthan in cases of obtaining jobs through fake sports certificates.
  • The recruitment of 2,000 PTI teachers in Punjab announced in 2025 was later withdrawn by the government.
  • To maintain transparency in recruitment examinations, the process of document verification, degree verification and digital record matching is being continuously tightened.
