National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for the NEET UG re-exam to be held on June 21, 2026. To prevent any kind of disturbance at the examination centers and for security, NTA has given instructions for mock drill at all the centers on June 20.
Apart from this, a list of dress code and important rules has been issued for the students which is as follows:

Extra 15 minutes will be given for the first time
The duration of Re-NEET 2026 exam has been extended by 15 minutes. The purpose of this change is to provide additional time to the candidates. NTA has extended the time by 15 minutes to reduce the delay caused by reading instructions, affixing photographs or signatures.
Important documents to be taken to the exam centre:
- Re-NEET Admit Card
- passport size photo
- Valid photo identity card
- PwD/PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
Biometric verification will be done at the exam center
After completion of security check (frisking) on the day of examination, all candidates will have to undergo biometric verification before entering the examination hall. This will include fingerprint and facial recognition. This process will be completed before the commencement of the examination.
If the biometric verification of a candidate is not completed due to technical or other reasons, he/she will still be allowed to take the examination. For this, the candidate will have to fill a written undertaking at the examination centre.
The exam was canceled on May 12 due to paper leak.
The NEET-UG exam was scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026, but it was canceled by NTA on May 12 following allegations of paper leak. CBI is investigating the case and now the examination will be held again on June 21, 2026.
NEET UG 2026 exam will be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. But checking at the exam center will start from 11 am and entry will not be allowed after 1:30 pm. In such a situation, candidates are advised to reach the exam center before time. More than 5 lakh security personnel, more than 6 thousand supervisors and 674 city coordinators will keep an eye on the exam process.
Under the Public Examination Act 2024, there is also a provision of up to 10 years in jail and a fine of Rs 1 crore in cases of paper leak and copying.

Admission in more than 1 lakh medical colleges through NEET
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the national entrance examination for admission to medical and dental courses in India. It was started in 2013.
Through this examination, admission is available in courses like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS) and Nursing in all the government and private medical colleges of the country, which also includes prestigious institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER.
