Rahul said that the name of the company changed, but the intentions and nature remained the same.
Rahul Gandhi has alleged major irregularities in the 12th class results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Congress leader said that the COEMPT company to which CBSE has given the contract for digital evaluation of the exam, was earlier named Globarina. The company was in controversies in Telangana in the year 2019.
Rahul questioned why the CBSE contract was given to COEMPT and on whose advice. Which rules and procedures were bypassed and the contract was given to this company? COEMPT was earlier embroiled in controversies under the name Globarina, why did CBSE not know this? What is the relationship between COEMPT management and Modi government.
CBSE has rejected Rahul’s allegations. In a statement issued by CBSE Headquarters, it was said that all the General Finals Rules and prescribed procedures were followed in awarding the contract to COEMPT Edutech. The allegations are false, misleading and not based on facts.

CBSE said- after the selection process, contract was given to COEMPT
CBSE says that applications were invited on the government portal on August 28, 2025 for digital evaluation of copies of Board Exam 2026. After this, after completion of the prescribed process, this contract was given to COEMPT company.
Every fourth student asked for a scanned copy.
There has been an extraordinary response from students regarding the On Screen Marking (OSM) system in CBSE 12th. Every fourth student who appeared in the 12th board examination has lodged a complaint regarding this.
According to the board, out of 17,68,962 students who appeared in the examination, 4,04,319 i.e. 22.85% have asked for a scanned copy of the answer sheet. These students have asked for a total of 11,31,961 answer sheets. Of these, 8,98,214 answer sheets had been sent to the students till Tuesday evening.
This is 4 times more than last year. This has happened for the first time in the history of any board in the country. Due to technical glitch on the board’s website, some applications are still stuck. The process of proper payment verification is going on.
The board informed that the pending applications related to scanned answer sheets will be completed by May 27. The revaluation process will also start from May 29. The official said that the window for applying for revaluation will remain open till two days after the release of the final answer sheet.
The board said that students who have complaints regarding their answer sheets can apply for verification of marks or revaluation per question.
2 lakh 82 thousand answer sheets sought in 2025
In 2025, 1,31,000 students had asked for their 2,82,000 answer sheets. Of these, 50 thousand students applied for revaluation if they were dissatisfied with the marks obtained. Out of these, marks of 31 thousand students increased and marks of about one to one and a half thousand students decreased. There was no change in the marks of 18 thousand students.
However, when the numbers are low, they are not reduced but remain the same. This time the evaluation of 12th exam copies was done on screen, for this all the answer sheets were scanned.
