Today, on 3rd May, NEET exam was held across the country. Just a day before this, while on one hand all the aspirants were busy in their final preparations, on the other hand NEET aspirant Ankita Dangi from Bhopal was searching for her admit card among the debris. The same debris that was his home till Saturday morning.
17-year-old Ankita Dangi sobbed, ‘How will I give the exam in such a situation?’ Spoiled everything, our home, education and our future. Ended our life with a house.
Ankita Dangi dreamed of becoming the first doctor in her family.
Bulldozer hits tribal settlement in Bhopal, Ankita’s house one of them Ankita Dangi lived with her family in the tribal colony adjacent to Manas Bhawan, Bhopal. His family consists of mother, father and sisters. The family currently has no means of earning.
The tribal settlement in which Ankita lived was about 70 years old. According to the report, this settlement was in the premises of Manas Bhawan, which was to be vacated under the Manas Bhawan Project. The government order to remove it had come long ago. On Saturday morning, the district administration took action and got bulldozers started at the houses of 27 families to remove encroachment.
The administration started bulldozing at 6 in the morning
Ankita told that she was asked by the administration to vacate the house at 10 pm on Friday night. Ankita and the rest of the tribal families spent the entire night on the road. After this, their house was bulldozed at around 6 am on Saturday morning. The entire house turned into debris in a moment and all her documents, including Ankita’s NEET UG admit card, were buried amidst the debris.
27 families are being shifted
According to the administration, 27 families are being removed from here and shifted to permanent houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Bhaunri, Kalkheda and Malikhedi. These are 1BHK flats.
According to Ankita, she was not even given time to take out the luggage. After a lot of pleading, she was somehow able to get her NEET admit card in the afternoon. But even then the only question in her mind was that how will she give the exam tomorrow under these circumstances? Ankita’s dream of becoming the first doctor in the family was also shattered.
Ankita said- ‘I have neither clothes nor ID left for NEET exam’
Ankita told in an interview, ‘Even if I reach the exam center on Sunday, the strict rules of NEET are a big problem for me. The clothes I have left are not as per the dress code and all my documents are buried under the debris.
According to the rules of NEET, the candidates have to wear light colored, full sleeve clothes without any design or embroidery and it is necessary to bring the original identity card along with them. In such a situation, it was almost impossible for Ankita to fulfill these conditions.
22.79 lakh had registered for NEET UG 2026
Medical entrance exam NEET UG 2026 was held on 3 May 2026. According to National Testing Agency (NTA), more than 22.79 lakh candidates have registered for this exam.
NEET UG 2026 paper balanced, but long
According to Harpreet Singh, Director of Visionary Masters in Delhi, the level of NEET UG 2026 exam was overall moderate. However, according to the candidates the paper was balanced but lengthy.
Physics section can prove to be a rank deciding factor
Physics section was quite challenging, in which more conceptual and calculative questions were asked from subjects like current, electricity, magnetic effects etc., due to which this section can prove to be a rank deciding factor.
NEET UG exam is conducted in offline pen, paper mode.
Most of the questions in Chemistry are NCERT based.
The level of Chemistry was easy to moderate, where Physical Chemistry was easy, while some questions of Organic Chemistry were a bit tricky and most of the questions were NCERT based.
To test the conceptual understanding of aspirants in Biology
Biology was the highest scoring section, in which direct questions were asked from topics like Human Physiology, Genetics, Biotechnology and Plant Physiology.
This year, there were more statement-based and match-the-column questions in the Biology section, which tested the aspirants’ conceptual understanding, line-by-line understanding of NCERT and their ability to differentiate between similar concepts, rather than just memorizing them.
Overall, priority was given to understanding of concepts and grasp of NCERT in the paper and aspirants believe that the questions were easy, but time management was very important to score well. ———————–
