All the candidates who have applied will be able to appear in the re-examination of SI Recruitment-2021 proposed by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) on 20 September 2026.

All the candidates wishing to appear in the exam will have to update the application form from today. The last date for this has been kept as 22nd July. Candidates who have already updated will not need to revise again.
Let us tell you that 7 lakh 97 thousand candidates had applied for this recruitment examination. 3 lakh 83 thousand 97 candidates had appeared in the last exam. After the exam was cancelled, when it was decided to conduct the exam again, only those who appeared in the first exam were given a chance.
For re-exam, these 3.83 lakh candidates were given the opportunity to make corrections and updates in the previously filled application forms. Only 1 lakh 53 thousand people showed interest in this. Two lakh 30 thousand candidates abstained.

According to the Commission, before updating the application, candidates will have to complete the KYC process in their One Time Registration (OTR). It will be mandatory to upload live photo, thumb impression and signature. After this, after making amendments in the application, accepting the self-declaration form and verifying it with the OTP received on the registered mobile number. If this process is not completed the application will not be accepted.
Candidates can update the application by logging in with SSO ID and going to My Recruitment section. Those whose OTR has been migrated to the new SSO ID will be able to use the Fetch Application Form option. If there is a technical problem in the application transfer, then the candidates can lodge a complaint on the Candidate Grievance Portal of the Commission till July 15.
The syllabus of the exam will also be as per the press note released on 22 May 2026. Only mobile number, e-mail ID, correspondence address, live photo, thumb impression and signature can be changed in the application. There will be no change in the basic information like age, educational qualification and reservation.
This decision has been taken after the interim order of Jaipur bench of Rajasthan High Court dated July 2, 2026. The Commission has said that all the candidates of 2021 recruitment have been provisionally allowed to appear in the re-exam.
However, it will be mandatory to submit the final application along with OTP verification by giving consent to use of photograph, signature and thumb impression used in OTR. Applications of candidates who do not do so will not be accepted.


Major arrests in SI Recruitment-2021…
1. Former RPSC member and son-daughter arrested- Former RPSC member Ramuram Raika, his son Devesh Raika and Shobha Raika were also arrested in the Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment-2021 paper leak case. Devesh Raika and Shobha Raika have been granted bail. Ramuram Raika was made a member of RPSC on 4 July 2018 during the then BJP government (Vasundhara Raje government). Raika remained a member till 4 July 2022. Ramuram Raika is still in jail.

2. Ramuram Raika had taken the paper from Babulal Katara.: Suspended RPSC member Babulal Katara arrested in senior teacher paper leak case was also involved in SI recruitment paper leak. Ramuram Raika had told SOG that he had brought papers for his son and daughter from Babulal Katara.

3. Former CM Gehlot’s PSO also arrested: Former CM Ashok Gehlot’s Personal Security Officer (PSO) Rajkumar Yadav and his son Bharat Yadav were also arrested by SOG. Rajkumar Yadav had bought the paper for his son. After this he also sold the paper to his milkman. The accused Rajkumar was caught on 8 August 2025.
