On Sunday, a dispute has once again started on social media between CBSE Board and student Vedant Srivastava regarding the revaluation result of class 12th.
Let us tell you that in May, Vedanta had pointed out the shortcomings of CBSE’s OSM (On Screen Marking) system through social media. Actually, in the subject wise final copy released by CBSE, Vedanta’s Physics paper was wrongly uploaded i.e. the copy of some other student. Later CBSE accepted the mistake and rectified it.
Recently CBSE has released their r-evaluation result. In this result, student Vedant has once again alleged that his marks have not increased in Physics subject.
CBSE-Vedanta total marks increased by 11
After Vedanta’s allegation, CBSE rejected his allegation and said in its clarification that this allegation is completely false. There is no factual truth in his claims.
CBSE said- After the re-evaluation process, a total of 11 marks of Vedanta have increased. According to the board, Vedanta has got 46 to 47 marks in Maths, 61 to 62 marks in Computer Science and in the main controversial subject Physics, it has increased from 35 to 44 marks (9 marks).
CBSE Board has released the result of 99.7% re-evaluation.

Vedanta- None of my numbers have been increased
After this clarification of CBSE, Vedanta has once again rejected the board’s claim by posting a video on social media.
According to Vedanta, 9 marks have not increased in CBSE’s re-evaluation, but this score has increased due to actual marks. In the wrong copy, Physics had 35 marks, which is 44 in the original answer sheet. That is why this score has increased.
How is this a blatant lie ,the 9 marks increase in physics does not happen after the opening of re-evaluation portal and if the answer sheet of physics was not mine how the marks given on that answer sheet were my marks https://t.co/qM0b2QeYH9— VEDANT (@VEDANTSHRIV17) June 28, 2026

online assessment system
After Vedanta’s claim, a new debate started on the Internet regarding Digital Assessment System (OSM). What is OSM system?

CBSE clarified – there was no delay in re-valuation
Along with this, CBSE Board in its clarification also talked about completing the re-valuation on time. The board also clearly said that there has been no delay in the re-valuation result. The re-valuation result process in 2025 started on June 27 and ended on July 11.

On June 21, CBSE had issued a notification to release the verification and re-evaluation result of class 12th.
