4. NHAI will start the country’s first Transport Logistics Research Center

  • On June 23, the Central Government announced the establishment of the first Transport Logistics Research Center of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Delhi.

  • The aim of this center is to reduce logistics costs and modernize the transport network in India.

5. India and Israel sign an MoU for auditing

  • On June 22, this MoU was signed between the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and the Supreme Audit Institution of Israel (State Comptroller and Ombudsman).
  • Public sector auditing between India and Israel, i.e., independent investigation of the financial transactions and functioning of government ministries, departments, agencies.
  • The objective of this agreement is to share better technology in the field of audit between the two countries. So that transparency and accountability can be ensured in government expenditure.
  • Under this MoU, training programs will also be organized for audit officers of both the countries.
  • After this MoU, cooperation will increase in the field of digital audit, IT audit and data analytics.

6. Walking shark species found in Indonesia

  • On June 22, scientists have identified a new species of ‘walking shark’ in Indonesian waters and named it Kadedekedeva.
