National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has made some changes in NEET UG reexam. Under the new notice, the exam time has now been increased from 180 minutes to 195 minutes. Apart from this, space for rough work has also been increased in the answer sheet.
NEET UG 2026 was canceled this year due to paper leak. The re-exam is now to be conducted on June 21, for which new changes have been made.

The NEET-UG exam was scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026, but it was canceled by NTA on May 12 following allegations of paper leak. CBI is investigating the case and now the examination will be held again on June 21, 2026.

Paper setters will remain in lockdown
Paper setters will have to follow strict restrictions till the exam is conducted. They will be kept in lockdown till June 21 so that there is no possibility of paper leak. 551 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad have been selected to conduct the exam.
Use of aircraft to carry paper
According to the officials, all the work related to the exam like setting of questions, translation, printing, packaging, storage to transportation and distribution is being strictly monitored. Indian Air Force aircraft will be used by the government to carry all the items related to the question paper.
In the digital sector, officials are monitoring social media platforms and messaging 24 hours to keep fake question papers, misinformation and suspicious activities away from the exam.
The expert himself will not know for which exam paper he is preparing.
NTA is working on creating such a new system in which even the experts preparing the questions will not know for which exam the question paper is being prepared.
Under the new scheme of the National Testing Agency, experts from different subjects will prepare only questions. These questions will be kept in a big digital bank. According to officials, there may be around 10 thousand questions in it. Later, with the help of technology, the final exam paper will be prepared from these questions.
