CBSE Chairman Secretary Transferred Over On-Screen Marking Controversy; Govt Probe

Board President Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta have been transferred due to the controversy over CBSE’s new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. The Central Government has taken this step due to complaints of irregularities in the new marking system.

Along with this, the government has also constituted a committee to examine the procurement process of OSM service. Capacity Building Commission Chairman S Radha Chauhan will be the chairperson of this one-member committee. The investigation committee will find out whether there were any irregularities or irregularities in the process of purchasing and implementing this system.

Senior IAS Rahul Singh became the Chairman of CBSE on 13 March 2024.

Actually, on May 13, CBSE had released the 12th result. This time for the first time the copies were checked on the computer screen (OSM service). After the results came, many students complained about the marks, after which an investigation into the entire matter was started.
