Anger and disappointment were clearly visible on the faces of the students outside the coaching institutes located on Rajpur Road on Tuesday. There are many students who had prepared by taking a drop for two years. Now the news of re-examination has increased his mental problems. Students say that if the paper was leaked then action should be taken against the culprits, but students who work hard should not be punished for this.
Dainik Bhaskar App Spoke to students preparing for NEET in Dehradun. Students said that due to NEET controversies for the second consecutive year, the trust in the examination system is weakening. Many students said that those whose paper was good are now under maximum stress because they will have to prepare again at the same level.

Two years of hard work is at stake again
Nikhil, a student studying in Dehradun, said that due to the cancellation of the examination, those students who had worked hard for years have suffered the most. He said-
Many children had abandoned social life and focused only on studies. Those whose paper went well are now in depression. The government should take strict action against those who leak papers.

Meanwhile, Arib, a dropper student told that he had been preparing online since class 11th and now he had given the exam by taking drop. She said, “I had given the paper with full hard work, but now I will have to do the same preparation again. This is not just an exam, the children’s career and family hopes are also linked to it.”
Students of Uttarakhand are more affected due to being a coaching hub.
Dehradun is considered a big center for preparation of medical and competitive examinations in Uttarakhand. Apart from different districts of the state, students from Himachal, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana also come to study here. In such a situation, the cancellation of exams has affected a large number of students.
A student said that he had joined coaching this year and expected that the examination process would be completely transparent. He said-
Controversies have been continuously coming up for the last few years. Now you will have to face the stress of preparation and examination again.

Students say that the examination agencies should implement strict SOPs so that such incidents do not happen in future and students do not have to face mental pressure.

Claim of matching 150 questions from ‘Question Bank’ of 300 questions
According to the investigating agencies, this time the paper leak was done in a very planned manner. The so-called ‘Question Bank’ had more than 300 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. All the questions were written by hand and their handwriting is also said to be similar.
It is claimed that 150 of these questions appeared exactly in the NEET exam. A total of 180 questions have to be solved in NEET and each question carries 4 marks. According to this, about 600 number of questions are said to be directly related to this so-called question bank.
Investigation has also revealed that this question bank reached many students through WhatsApp. Its wires are connecting to Rajasthan, Kerala, Bihar and Maharashtra. Rajasthan SOG has already arrested many people.

The ‘Question Banks’ are hand written and their handwriting is also the same.
NEET exam was in controversies even in 2024
NEET UG exam was in controversies last year also. After the examination held on May 5, 2024, evidence of paper leak was found in Bihar and Jharkhand. Many arrests were also made in the case.
However, then the Supreme Court had refused to cancel the entire examination. Only 1539 students were re-examined. At that time, a big controversy had arisen when 67 students got 720 marks out of 720 and many toppers came from the same centre.
