Rajasthan Public Service Commission has reduced 886 posts of senior teacher recruitment. Now this recruitment will be done on a total of 9,651 posts. More than 12 lakh thirty thousand candidates have applied to appear in this examination. Earlier this recruitment was to be done on 10537 posts. This examination to be held from 12 to 18 July 2026 will be held as per the pre-determined schedule. The Commission has issued a corrigendum regarding the latest number of subject-wise posts. The remaining terms and conditions of the advertisement will remain the same as before. Detailed information and corrigendum is available on the website of the Commission. Hearing held in the High Court. Hearing was held today in the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur Division Bench on the petitions filed regarding postponement of the examination and re-opening of the form. During the hearing, the Commission Secretary told the court that as per the rules effective on the date of issue of advertisement, the basic posts under recruitment can be increased only up to a maximum of 50 percent. Earlier, through corrigendum number 10/2026-27, the number of posts was increased to 10,537, which was more than 50 percent. By modifying this, the posts under this recruitment will be filled by increasing the posts by only 50 percent as per the rules. For this, the revised number of posts will be notified by issuing a corrigendum. Corrigendum issued: After the hearing in the court, Corrigendum No. 11/2026-27 has also been issued by the Commission, under which a total of 9,651 posts have now been notified by removing the additional posts which were increased by more than 50 percent. Category wise classification will be released soon. The original advertisement of this recruitment (No. 07/2025-26) was issued last year on July 17, 2025 for a total of 6,500 posts in 10 subjects. For this, online applications were taken from 19 August to 17 September 2025. Later, according to the proposal received from the Secondary Education Department, the posts were first increased to 10,537, which has been revised again to 9,651 as per rules. Category wise classification will be released soon. The examinations of different subjects are divided into four groups. Group A – This has social science subject. There will be a general knowledge test for its candidates on July 12 from 10 am to 12 noon. Social Science exam will be held from 3 to 5:30 pm. Group B- It has Hindi subject. There will be a General Knowledge test for the candidates of this subject on July 13 from 10 am to 12 noon. Hindi exam will be held from 3 to 5:30 pm. Group C- It has Science and Sanskrit subjects. There will be a General Knowledge test for all the candidates of these subjects on July 14 from 10 am to 12 noon. After this, the examination for science subject will be held from 3 to 5:30 pm. The examination for Sanskrit subject candidates will be held on July 15 from 10 to 12:30 am. Group D- Mathematics, English, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi and Gujarati subjects have been kept in it. There will be a General Knowledge test for all the candidates of these subjects on July 16 from 10 am to 12 noon. After this, the examination for the candidates of Mathematics subject will be conducted from 3 to 5:30 pm. On July 17, the examination for the candidates of English subject will be conducted from 10 to 12:30 am and from 3 to 5:30 pm for Urdu subjects. On July 18, the examination for Punjabi subject candidates will be held from 10 to 12:30 am and for Sindhi and Gujarati subject candidates from 3 to 5:30 pm.
