Anand Kumar committed suicide due to the pressure and failure of a government job in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. 23 year old Anand Kumar was a promising student living in Gujaini, Kanpur. Anand did B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from PSIT College in 2024. He had secured third position in the entire state.
Tried for government job 50 times
On this achievement of Anand, on August 13, 2024, Governor Anandiben Patel honored him with a gold medal. Anand was also a topper in college. Presently he worked in a private company. But he was not satisfied with his job. He dreamed of a government job. He tried 50 times to get a government job but he did not get a government job.
Sorry written on suicide note
After that Anand took a big step like suicide. He also wrote a note for the family before suicide. It was written on it – I tried 50 times for a government job, but could not succeed. ‘Papa, please forgive me.. sorry.’
Anand’s elder brother and sister are government teachers in Bihar. His father is retired from a private company. Anand’s father and other family members had gone to Bihar to fix the marriage of his elder son at the time of the incident. He also asked Anand to accompany him but he refused.
When the door was broken, the dead body was found hanging.
Anand was alone at home. When the woman working in the house arrived in the morning and even after calling for a long time, the door did not open, she informed her family and Govindnagar police. When the police reached the spot and broke the door, Anand’s body was found hanging from the fan in the room. As soon as the information was received, the family reached Kanpur from Bihar.

Police sent the body for postmortem
When the police reached the spot and broke the door, the sight inside was heart-wrenching. Anand’s body was hanging from the noose. The police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Anand’s mother Shanti Devi died of illness in 2011.
