Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 from July 2 to 4. The Commission has implemented strict security arrangements this time to make the examination cheating-free and transparent. This examination will be conducted with biometric verification, digital lock and multi-layer security system.

955 exam centers have been set up in 60 districts of the state, where a total of 15.99 lakh candidates will appear for the exam. In Prayagraj alone, 96,626 candidates will appear in the examination at 53 centres. Question paper boxes will be colour-coded and one-time digital locks will be fitted. These will be opened only 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination so that there is no possibility of paper leak.

The examination will be held in two shifts:
- Paper – 1 (Primary Level – Class 1 to 5): 9:30 am to 12:00 noon
- Paper – 2 (Upper Primary Level – Class 6 to 8) : 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Teacher’s duty will be decided half an hour in advance
Biometric verification of all candidates will be done before entry at the examination centres. This will include the process of iris scan and live photo capture. At the same time, which teacher will be on duty in the examination rooms, it will be selected through a randomization process 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination, so that there can be no irregularity. Admit cards for this examination will be issued on June 30.
