The result of the written examination of UP Home Guard Recruitment-2025 was released on Sunday afternoon. This examination was held on 25, 26 and 27 April 2026 for recruitment to a total of 41,424 posts. Now the passed candidates will have to undergo document verification and physical test.

The list of eligible candidates for document verification and physical test has also been released. Along with this, category wise cut-off list of all the districts has also been released. According to Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, about 2.6 times the number of candidates passed compared to the total vacancies.

Document verification and physical test date will be released soon
More than 19 lakh candidates had participated in the examination held for a total of 41 thousand 424 posts. In this, 1 lakh 07 thousand 221 candidates have passed. In such a situation, about 2.6 times the number of candidates have been called for document verification and physical test as compared to the vacant posts.
Recruitment Board’s Additional Secretary/Examination Controller Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj said that the dates of document verification and physical test will be announced soon on the official website of the board. Candidates have been appealed to visit only the official website of the Board regularly for all updates, guidelines and information related to recruitment. In case of any technical error, the decision of the Board will be final and valid.

- Click on “UPPBPB UP Police Home Guard Result 2026” on the homepage.
- A new page will open, where registration number, roll number and date of birth have to be filled.
- After filling all the information correctly, click on the submit button, your result will appear on the screen.
- Download the PDF of the result and take a printout of it for further need.

What will happen in the physical standard test?
Candidates who qualify the exam will have to go through Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). For male candidates, the minimum height has been fixed at 168 cm in General, SC and OBC categories and 160 cm in ST category.
Whereas for female candidates, the minimum height has been fixed at 152 cm in General, SC and OBC categories and 147 cm in ST category. It will be mandatory for all categories of female candidates to have a minimum weight of 40 kg.
What will happen in physical efficiency test
In the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), male candidates will have to complete a run of 4.8 kilometers in 28 minutes and female candidates will have to complete a run of 2.4 kilometers in 16 minutes. The minimum age for recruitment is 18 years and maximum 30 years, whereas OBC, SC and ST category candidates will get five years relaxation in the maximum age limit.
These things are necessary for document verification
Pass candidates will have to prepare for Document Verification (DV). During DV, the candidate will have to produce all the required documents including educational certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), residence certificate, birth certificate, passport size photograph, employment registration certificate, mobile number and e-mail ID.
After going through all these processes the final merit list will be released. Selected candidates will also be provided with a monthly salary of Rs 20,200 and other government facilities like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Traveling Allowance (TA), medical facility, pension and insurance.


Last recruitment was in 2011
The last time Home Guards were recruited in Uttar Pradesh was in 2011 during the reign of Mayawati. This recruitment was done at the district level. Since then, not a single major recruitment has taken place in the Home Guard Department.
The recruitment process started in the BJP government in 2018, but it was canceled due to allegations of corruption. This recruitment was done in Prayagraj. The then District Commandant was also suspended in this case. Since then there has been no recruitment of Home Guards.
