The Chief Minister wrote in his post – The news of suicide of 22 year old NEET candidate Umesh Mali in Sikar is extremely shocking. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Due to NEET question paper leak, many children including Pradeep Meghwal of Rajasthan have taken suicidal steps this year. This is not suicide, rather, the morale of our youth is breaking in front of the system of question paper leaking.

Riya of Dehradun also committed suicide on June 16.

Riya Kumari Thapa of Dehradun was very smart in studies. She had given NEET exam twice. But, this time I was worried about the NEET exam for a long time. People around say that seeing her dedication towards studies, it is hard to believe that she can do this.

She used to bear the expenses of education by giving tuition herself.

On June 16, Riya’s body from Dehradun was also found in her house. Riya was preparing for NEET and along with studying, she used to bear the expenses of her examination fees and books by giving tuition to children.

On Tuesday, when the door of Riya’s room did not open, her mother knocked on the door. When the door did not open for a long time, he called his father. When the father opened the door, Riya was found hanging inside.

Riya’s father had fought during the Kargil war. Whereas, his mother is a housewife. Police found a suicide note from the room, in which he mentioned not getting success in studies.

Acquaintances told that Riya used to study till late night. Riya had topped the college by scoring 97.6% marks in the 12th examination.
