It is necessary to get 33% marks in every subject

To pass CBSE 12th board exam, students have to score at least 33% marks in each subject along with overall marks. If marks are less than this, they will be considered failed in that subject.

Students who fail in 1 subject will be given a chance to save their year by appearing in the compartment examination. But students who fail in 2 or more subjects will have to appear in class 12th again. Had secured 88.39% marks in CBSE 12th 2025. In which there was an increase of 0.41% compared to the year 2024. This time the result has dropped by 3% compared to last year.

Failed students will get a second chance

Students who have not passed in one or more subjects will get a chance to appear in the compartment exam this time also. This will not spoil their year and they will be able to improve their marks.
